HOMES in Burnham are set to lose power for up to eight hours while maintenance work is carried out.
UK Power Networks says power will be switched off in the CM0 8 postcode area at 9am today.
A statement on its website says: “We're carrying out planned work in your area. For our engineers to carry it out safely they need to turn the power off.
“We're doing this work as it's essential to provide reliable electricity supplies to your area.
“We're sorry for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience.”
It is estimated power will be switched back on between 4pm and 5pm today.
Affected residents should’ve received prior notification of the outage.
