A SUCCESSFUL dog grooming business run by sisters is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

Shaggy 2 Short, based at Gardeners Farm in Maldon Road, Goldhanger, has reached the impressive milestone.

Aimee Rycraft opened the grooming parlour in the back of her parents' pet shop 20 years ago and grew it into a successful business.

Aimee and sister Charlie offer a range of grooming services and a dip and dive for dogs to enjoy.

There is also a farm shop on the site which is home to Tasha’s Tasty Treats, for customers to enjoy a coffee and cake while they wait.

They celebrated the business's 20th birthday with cakes from Tasha’s Tasty Treats and balloons from Inflate Occasions, based at Crate in Tiptree.

Aimee said: “I set up in the back of my parents' pet shop 20 years ago.

“I have always loved dogs and just fell into dog grooming and I’ve never looked back.

“I’ve had three kids since then and my customers have always been so amazing.

“I have some that have been with me since the beginning. My sister Charlie has been a fully qualified dog groomer for about eight years now but has been helping me out since the beginning.

“We’re now a great team. We are super proud of what we have accomplished and how the business has grown. We’re busier, stronger and better than ever.

“We’re very proud of 20 years in the business.”
