A POPULAR bakery stall has thanked a Maldon-based flour producer ahead of its visit to the Maldon Vegan Market.

Norwegian Bakers, based in Wivenhoe, is looking forward to attending the upcoming Maldon Vegan Market at Promenade Park.

There will be a range of street food vendors, ethical clothing and cosmetics stalls, giving many businesses a platform for the people of Maldon to enjoy.

The authentic Norwegian bakery has thanked staff from Carrs Flour for stepping in to save the day when flour supplies dried up during lockdown.

They say without them they may not have experienced the same success.

Carrs Flour Mill, which has occupied its Fullbridge site for generations, came to the bakery’s rescue and arranged emergency supplies.

The small family-run bakery has become famous locally for producing a taste of Scandinavian baking in their sweet and savoury breads, which are all vegan.

Norwegian Bakers owner Jessika Hagerup said: “Carrs Flour were wonderful to us and the relationship with them has only blossomed over the years."
