RESIDENTS have been warned to keep their windows shut as firefighters tackle a blaze in a village near Maldon.
Essex County Fire and Rescue Service confirmed fire crews have been called to Pages Lane, Tolleshunt D'Arcy, following reports of a barn fire.
A statement from the fire service said: "We’re currently at the scene of a barn fire in Pages Lane, Tolleshunt D’Arcy.
"If you live in the area, please keep your windows and doors closed as there’s lots of smoke coming from the scene.
"Please avoid the area while we deal with this incident."
