Council offices in Maldon will be shining blue in honour of the NHS this evening.
Maldon District Council's HQ will be lit up tonight to mark the 75th anniversary of the NHS.
The building is among a nationwide display of appreciation for the health service.
The blue light is a symbol of the NHS, and the offices will be lit up for the evening to show the district's appreciation of the work of the NHS past and present.
Maldon District Council chairman Kevin Lagan said: "We are proud to be joining others in marking this occasion by lighting up our council offices to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the NHS.
“The NHS has made huge differences for the better in the lives of many, with free and quality care for all, from the founding days through to the pandemic and beyond – as well as a providing a vital, global contribution to health care, medicine and technology.
“We are indebted to everyone who works in the NHS for their dedication and care, and we are proud to show our support by lighting up our offices and say a huge thank you to all NHS staff, past and present.”
