A new Essex zoo has announced it's welcomed a cute arrival with the birth of a Ring-tailed Lemur.

Call of the Wild Zoo in South Woodham Ferrers, which opened last February, is also looking for help from the public to name the new arrival.

The zoo's animals and exhibits include Ring Tail Lemurs, Servals, Common marmosets, Blue and Gold Macaws, Meerkats, African Crested Porcupines and more.

There's so much to offer including animal experiences for the visitors and wildlife fans. On offer are meerkat, lemur, bird of prey and keeper for the day experiences.

A spokesman said: "We have some very exciting news here at Call of the Wild Zoo. We are delighted to announce the arrival of our little Ring-tailed Lemur pup.

"Our Lemur walk-through has now re-opened today, so if you are planning on visiting, keep an eye out for mother and baby."

Call of the Wild Zoo has replaced the very popular Tropical Wings in Wickford Road, South Woodham Ferrers.
