ILLEGAL drugs have been located following a warrant to search a premises in the Maldon area.
Officers from the Maldon town team and members of the operational support group carried out a search warrant and found the drugs.
Specialist equipment was used to breach the front door of the address.
Officers have been working to obtain search warrants in the Maldon area and gathering information to approach the magistrates.
Police said they will investigate findings and approach the Crown Prosecution Service to charge those concerned.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “The Maldon town team with the help of our operational support group have executed another search warrant in the Maldon area.
“This was a positive warrant with illegal drugs being located.
“It is an offence to be in possession of illegal drugs and it is also an offence to allow drugs to be used in a property if you are the owner or landlord.
“Specialist method of entry equipment was used to breach the front door.
“If you have information about drug use or drug dealing then let us know at www.essex.police.uk - the Maldon town team will happily pay them an early visit.”
