A YELLOW weather warning has been issued for parts of Essex.
The Met Office has issued a warning for Southend due to an expected a period of rain and snow that could lead to frozen surfaces.
People are being warned about an increased chance of injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces, icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths, and a chance that road, air and rail services could be disrupted or delayed.
The warning is in place from 3am on Sunday, December 18, until 2pm the same day.
