STEEPLE village hall held a history evening on Saturday 29 March.
The history evening was presented by postcard historian Michael Head and was attended by over 50 persons who enjoyed seeing the past history of our own village, Steeple and other local villages on screen.
Michael included many unseen pictures of the area and also included many stories that went with the picture tour around the pubs, schools and shops of days gone by.
Many thanks to Michael and to our guests who helped raise £195.50 for village hall funds.
VILLAGE HALL TRUST
COMMITTEE members met on Wednesday 2 April and among the many matters discussed were the recent successful over 55s party, history evening and the forthcoming annual children's party to be held on Saturday 26 April. Invitations will shortly be delivered to children in the village for this annual event.
