ON April 5 Great Totham Gardening Club staged the Spring Show.

Despite difficult weather conditions during the weeks prior to the show, 280 exhibits were shown, with all divisions being well represented.

Refreshments and a raffle were enjoyed during the afternoon and Lee Willis, from The Bull public house, kindly presented the trophies.

The prize winners were: Flowers 1st Hanna Lincoln, 2nd Ron Hawley, 3rd Yvonne Hawley: best exhibit in division - Liz Green Floral Art 1st Joan Tatum, 2nd Elizabeth Bright, 3rd Julia Palmer: best exhibit in division - Joan Tatum Amateur Photography 1st Sheila Phillips, 2nd Christine Walker, 3rd Susan Godsmark. The best analogue exhibit - Sheila Phillips, best digital - Christine Walker Cookery 1st Elizabeth Bright, Yvonne Hawley and Pauline Wright.

2nd Julia Higgins, Maureen Stoakes and Phyllis Pitt 3rd Brenda Keeble, Joan Ellis and Norman Wright: best exhibit in division - Elizabeth Bright.

Vegetables 1st Ron Hawley, 2nd Fred Steptoe and Kathleen Armstrong 3rd Norman Wright: best exhibit in division - Fred Steptoe Arts and Crafts 1st Sheila Phillips, 2nd Daphne Davies, Elizabeth Bright and Maureen Stoakes, 3rd Hanna Lincoln, Jean Cloughton and Mary Burton: best exhibit in division - Maureen Stoakes Children's Classes 1st Kerry Anne Baldwin, 2nd Rachel Higgins, 3rd Hannah May Baldwin and Sophie Rumbold.

The best exhibit in division - Rachel Higgins.

Hanna Lincoln achieved the most points in the Spring Show.

Each child received a sunflower plant to grow on for the competition in the autumn. With thanks to everyone who supported the show.
