Congratulations to sixyear- old Mollie Sambell, who lives in Stephenson Road.

Mollie took part in the Royal Tunbridge Wells Dance Festival recently and came third with 83 points. The winner gained 85 points and second place received 84 points. There were 11 contestants in her class, so her result was excellent. Mollie received a bronze medal and a certificate.

She attend the Grosvenor School of Dance at South Woodham Ferrers and has been dancing since she was just four years old. Last year she danced in Disneyland Paris, and in December she took National Imperial exams in ballet, tap and modern dancing in Brentwood. She gained "A" passes in ballet and modern and a "B" in tap.

Mollie is appearing in a show at Grays Theatre on April 22. She is a fan of Dr Who and loves her Bratz dolls. She is now starting ice-skating lessons, gymnastics and singing lessons. Her ambition in life is to be a pop star - I have a feeling that this very busy confident six-year-old could well be on the road to just that.

Mollie has a three-year-old brother Alfie and a one-year-old sister Louisa, and no doubt she will probably have them dancing with her very shortly.

Last year, together with her brother Alfie, they both got into the final ten in their respective age groups in the Baby and Children's photograph competition held by the Yellow Advertiser.

Mollie's mother and father, who are obviously extremely proud of her, told me that she is always singing and dancing and a very happy little girl.
