'Enquiries are ongoing' - Manhunt called off after spate of attempted burglaries
A MANHUNT launched following a string of offences has now been called off.
Essex Police issued a CCTV appeal following numerous reports of attempted burglaries in Clay Pits, Braintree.
The incidents are said to have occurred just after midnight on July 15 and a motor vehicle was also interfered with.
The force, however, has now confirmed officers are no longer looking for a man they wanted to speak to in connection with the offences.
A police spokesman said: “A man has made contact with us and our enquiries are ongoing.”
