At 5.30am on Wednesday, a resident of West Chase House was startled to see a man sitting at the table outside his lounge window. As he had not put any lights on, the man outside did not see him.
It was a frosty morning, hardly conducive to sitting out. The man lit a cigarette and after looking down the farm lane, he made off towards the farm.
He was described as fairly tall and thinfaced, and appeared to be wearing bulky clothing, carrying what appeared to be two supermarket bags and a rucksack.
From the traces left, he was accompanied by a dog.
