A MAN who admitted assaulting a woman on Christmas Day has been fined more than £1,000.
Lewis Whitten, 23, attended Colchester Magistrates Court last week where he admitted the offence.

As a result, he is required to participate in an accredited rehabilitation programme for 29 days and carry out 270 hours of unpaid work for the next year.
Whitten, of Pondfield Road, Colchester was also ordered to pay compensation of £300, pay victim services £95, pay £250 prosecution costs, and had £645 subtracted from his benefits.
The overall he was ordered to pay £1,290.
