A CYCLIST in his 60s has since died after a crash with a pedestrian last week.
Last Wednesday, officers were called to Mountnessing Road near the Pleasant Drive junction in Billericay.
There were reports of a crash involving a cyclist and a pedestrian on August 2 at around 7:20pm.
The road was temporarily shut following the incident and at the time the cyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries in a critical condition.

Essex Police has now sadly confirmed he has died.
In a statement they said: “A cyclist seriously injured following a collision in Billericay last week has, sadly, died.
“The cyclist, a man in his 60s, was taken to hospital but has since died.
“We are continuing to appeal for anyone who saw the incident or has any footage to contact us.
