BIN collections have been suspended due to the high temperatures forecast for the area.
A red and amber heatwave warning is in place across the Maldon district and the rest of the region.
Suez UK, which manages waste collections in the district, has suspended all collections in the area because of the hot weather.
This means there will be no waste or recycling collection on Tuesday.
Bulky waste collections scheduled for Tuesday, July 19 will now be collected on Wednesday, July 20.
Collections now have a revised date which is planned for the day after the usual collection date.
Collections set for Wednesday will be collected on Thursday.
The schedule for Thursday will take place on Friday and the collection usually on Friday will be collected on Saturday instead.
Crews will be operating from 7am until 5pm as usual and are being given extra water and other measures to deal with the heat throughout the day.
A spokesman for Maldon District Council said: “We appreciate that this might cause frustration and ask that residents please be patient with the crews.
“We will continue to monitor the temperatures this week and update you via our website should this change.”
