A MAN who stole more two TVs from a shop in Essex has been spared prison.
Gary Squelch, 23, of Orchard Road, Burnham-on-Crouch, stole two televisions worth £800 at Sainsburys in Basildon in November 2020.
He denied the offence but was found guilty in March this year.

He was sentenced at Southend Magistrates Court to six weeks imprisonment, suspended for 12 months, due to the seriousness of the crime, group action and planning, as well as a previous conviction of a similar nature.
The court heard there was a realistic prospect of rehabilitation due to positive engagement with probation.
He was also ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £128 and £320 in prosecution costs.
