A ROAD in Maldon town centre is set to be closed for the next 9 nights for roadworks.
Spital Road was closed yesterday (April 19) and will be closed until Thursday, April 28.
The closure is in place between 8pm and 5am.
The closure is taking place as Essex County Council is undertaking carriageway resurfacing works.
These works usually involve planing off all or some of the existing surface and removal of this material from the site.

The planed area will have the manholes and gullies adjusted and replaced if needed.
Highways says delays are likely while the closure is in place.
