A POPULAR Easter bonanza returned after two years to help fund Maldon Carnival.
The carnival brought back its Easter festivities in Heybridge at the weekend.
It was the first time the event was hosted since the start of the Covid pandemic.
Children who attended the event in Plantation Hall enjoyed activities such as an egg hunt, arts and crafts, a variety of stalls and a visit from the Easter Bunny.
Youngsters also solved puzzles scattered around the field and took part in an egg and spoon race to receive an Easter treat.

Those with £12 VIP tickets enjoyed entry into all activities and a professional photo with the Easter Bunny and a card from the mascot, a Kinder Surprise bag and a voucher to use on sweets, the tombola stall or the guess the bunny's name game.
The event helped raise funds for the carnival procession which is back on August 6 after three years.
The traditional procession is taking place after the carnival secured £5,750 from The National Lottery Community Fund.
Funds are still being raised for the festivities with personal Easter Bunny visits over the holiday weekend and an exclusive three course dinner and dance in May.
