A MAN who was caught with a knife in a public place has been handed a suspended prison sentence.
Levi Denham, 22, of Lavender Drive, Southminster, was found with a kitchen knife in Duke Street in Chelmsford in May last year.
He admitted possessing a knife blade in a public place in Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on March 1.

Denham was given a 26-week suspended prison sentence as the court heard the offence was "so serious" and he had "made attempts to conceal the knife".
He must also carry out 120 hours of unpaid work within the next twelve months.
He's been ordered to pay a £128 surcharge to fund victim services and £145 in prosecution costs.
