A WOMEN'S group defied Storm Eunice as members braved the weather to support a campaign against climate change.
Members of Maldon Wycke Women’s Institute (WI) were spreading the love in Maldon at the weekend by handing out handmade green hearts in support of The Climate Coalition’s Show the Love campaign.
They were joined by friends and children from Kidzone in making and handing out more than 300 hand-crafted green hearts.

The group's original plan was to hand the hearts out at Promenade Park during Parkrun on Saturday, but Storm Eunice changed these plans.
However, the ladies didn't cancel and instead decided to ask shops and Maldon Library for help.
Unknown to the group, the library was holding a community volunteers morning and invited them to set up a table with a display.

Nicky Martin, secretary for Maldon Wycke WI, said: "We cannot thank them enough for their kindness.
"They also had various events going on throughout the day for children, so we were able to distribute lots of hearts and spread the message of climate change."
Some businesses also took in the hearts to hand out to customers including Willow and Fox, Silo Zero Waste Refillery, Whole Health Foods and the Maeldune Heritage Centre.
