A CHARITY is calling for help from residents as its storage space is completely full.

David Randall Foundation was set up in 2012 in memory of a Maldon cricketer of the same name.

David died from cancer at just 27 years old.

The foundation, entirely run by volunteers, aims to help others with life-limiting conditions to experience as many “good days” as possible.

All of the charity’s merchandise is stored in secretary Sue Randall’s garage, but it has got to the stage where additional space is needed.

Sue is now asking for help from residents to find a new storage space.

She said: “As a charity we aim to spend every penny that people donate to us on the good days for terminally ill people, scholarships for aspiring musicians and sports people, and the annual Cabbie Day.”

She added: “We have looked into storage units, but that would take an awful lot of the money people donate to us away from the people who need it.”

“We wondered if there was someone in Maldon who had a garage they didn’t use or some other space, that we could rent at a nominal rent as the commercial rates are really beyond our means.”
