A man who was caught behind the wheel while over the drink drive limit has been banned from the roads for 17 months.
James Fitzpatrick, 45, of Lodge Lane, Peldon, was found to have 63 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when he was stopped in Colchester Road, Tolleshunt D'Arcy, on October 1.
The legal limit is 35.
Fitzpatrick admitted the offence at Colchester Magistrates' Court and was handed a 17 month ban.
He was also fined £120 and ordered to pay a £34 victim services charge and £105 prosecution costs.
