A PUB is set to host a spectacular fireworks and bonfire night extravaganza for villagers in Tolleshunt Major.
The Bell Inn’s fireworks night is organised by Andy Lodge and Rosie Hill with regulars at the watering hole.
They say it is “very much a community event”.
It is usually paid for through fundraising at the pub throughout the year, along with donations on the night.
But due to coronavirus restrictions Andy and Rosie haven’t been able to raise the funds.
Instead they are selling tickets to cover the costs and make the November 6 event a “fabulous” night to remember.
There will be food stalls to warm revellers up before the firework display and the lighting of the big bonfire.
Abbey Rogues will provide live music on the night and pub-goers can look forward to a hog roast, barbecue, Indian food, vegan and vegetarian options, pastries, doughnuts, pies, cookies and more.
The pub will be open with an additional bar nearer the firework viewing.
Gates open at 5pm with the fireworks set for around 7pm.
To buy tickets go to bit.ly/3GgCkkt.
There is standing room only as the event is all outdoor, so guests cannot bring chairs.
No food or drink should be brought into the event either.
Disabled access can be pre-arranged by calling 01621868154.
