THE fundraising branch of Maldon RNLI has been celebrating the easing of lockdown with the return of fundraising events.
A special open garden event, hosted by Tish Woulds, raised vital funds for the charity at the Blue House.
The house is in a picturesque location overlooking one of the Maldon boatyards.
Bouquets of flowers were sold and proved very popular.
A total of £221 pounds was raised to support the work of the lifeboats and lifeguards who keep the coastline and beaches safe.
The Maldon Branch is run by a dedicated committee and a staple member, 86-year-old long-term secretary Norma Mumford, has been awarded a framed certificate by RNLI headquarters in appreciation of all she has done for the Maldon lifeboats.
The committee is looking for new members.
