DRIVERS can expect delays as a town road prepares to close for nearly two weeks.
Russells Road in Halstead is expected to close next week on Tuesday, September 28.
Broadband company Gigaclear will be closing the road in order to carry out fibre optic broadband installation.
It is expected the road will be closed for nearly two weeks with the final day of closure taking place on Monday, October 11.
During the closure, emergency access will be maintained at all times for police, fire and ambulance crews.
The closure will see the road shut from its junction with the A131 at Mount Hill.
Throughout, drivers will be forced to find a different route with Halstead Road, Sloe Hill, Mount Hill and the A1017 as diversions to bypass the closure.
