On December 3, Clive Potter presented "Great Totham and Around" to Great Totham Gardening Club.
The illustrated talk included details on local buildings, transport, employment and schooling in bygone days.
To celebrate the gardening club's 30th year, Clive showed slides depicting local people at the 1977 Jubilee Celebrations in the village. Members were amused by the big hair and small waists of the time.
The next meeting will be at 8pm on Monday January 7, when Kay Maudsley will present "Owls".
New members and visitors will be very welcome.
AUCTION
Chris and Nigel's first auction for the year 2008 will be held at Longfields, Plains Road, Great Totham, on a different day to normal, starting at 10am prompt on Tuesday, January 1. For any enquiries, you should telephone 892717.
