RESIDENTS may hear some loud bangs next week due to activities by the Ministry of Defence.
MOD Shoeburyness has scheduled a series of activities on their Range between March 1-7.
Here is the list:
Monday, March 1 – Explosions may be noticed
Tuesday, March 2 – Explosions may be noticed from 8.30am
Wednesday, March 3 – Explosions may be noticed from 8.30am
Thursday, March 4 – Gunfire and explosions may be noticed from 8.30am
Friday, March 5 – Gunfire may be noticed
The weekend (March 6-7) will have no activity to report.
A spokesman said: “The descriptions above are of activities that may possibly be noticed by members of the public.
"Weather conditions on any given day significantly influence if and where activity may be noticed off site.
Unless otherwise stated, activities will take place at intervals during normal working hours, 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday.
“If members of the public have any concerns about Range activity, they can call the freephone Careline on 0800 0560108.”
