A HOUSE fire was avoided thanks to the efforts of quick-acting firefighters after two cars burst into flames near the property.
A crew from South Woodham Ferrers and a crew from Great Baddow attended the incident in Lodge Road, Bicknacre.
On February 12 at 11.15am, they were called to the incident where two vehicles were parked close to a bungalow.
A spokesman said: “When fire crews arrived, they reported that the heat from the vehicles was starting to affecting the outside of the property.
“Crews extinguished the fire quickly before it could spread to the property.
“The fire was recorded as accidental.”
No one was reported as injured in the fire.
The South Woodham Ferrers team are recruiting for an on-call firefighter.
