MORE than half the areas in Maldon district now have ten or less Covid cases, according to the latest figures.
Government data shows, in the seven days leading up to February 9, Maldon’s infection rate stood at 100.1 per 100,000 with 65 cases.
When focusing on the specific areas within the district, five out of eight have ten or less Covid cases.
Areas with the least cases are Tollesbury, Tolleshunt & Goldhanger and Maldon South.
The area with the highest case number and infection rate is Heybridge with 17 cases and a rate of 198.9 per 100,000
