Our annual carol singing evening around the village will take place on Tuesday, December 18, starting at 7pm outside Middlemarsh, Franklin Road, with the traditional finale at the Ferry Boat Inn.

Go along and enjoy another Christmas event and meet your fellow villages, all ages welcome.

Please give generously even if you are unable to join in. All proceeds are to go to Farleigh Hospice.

DOWN AT THE FERRY BOAT INN

There is lots of activity down at the pub during December.

Pre-Christmas meals are on offer at the same price as last year for three courses and coffee with lots of menu choices.

Normal menus are available on Christmas Eve at lunchtime and evening but, sorry, no food Christmas day. The bar is open from noon until 4pm on Christmas Day.

The bar is closed Christmas night and all day Boxing Day.

Then it is business as usual from December 27 until New Year's Eve, when the bar is open from noon until 4pm, and lunchtime food is served as usual.

New Year's Eve is strictly ticketonly in the evening, £15 per person including disco, buffet, midnight champaign and fireworks.

Numbers are limited so please book early.

New Year's day the bar is open from noon until 4pm, but closed in the evening for general recuperation!

There is food noon until 2.30pm. Back to normal the next day.
