The Knyghts Variety Group put on their annual pantomime of Aladdin. Bright costumes and colourful scenery made for a good start.

All the actors put their all into their parts and there was a great choice of many singalong songs.

The songs were accompanied by a brilliant young pianist.

During the pantomime there was even an appearance of the "old" Spice Girls when Aladdin wasted one of his wishes that the Genie had granted to him.

Two young lads played the parts of the Grand Vizier henchmen, and it seemed a pity to me that they weren't given any words to say, as their behind the scenes acting and facial expressions were excellent.

I look forward to next year's production.

AID 2 AFRICA

Although the organisers of Aid 2 Africa still urgently require all your kind donations of adults and children's clothing and shoes, bedding and soft toys.

You can leave your items of clothing etc either at 13 Barnhall Road at any time, or take them along to the village hall on Wednesday evening between 7pm to 8pm.

There are very many poor villages in Lesotho, the country in Africa which the organisers of Aid 2 Africa support, and the winters there are surprisingly very cold, so they need everything that you can spare.
