DRIVERS are to expect several road closures in the coming days while repairs and installations take place across Maldon district.

  • On January 21, there will be a closure of the length of London Road, Maldon from its junction with Curling Tye Lane for approximately 435m in a north easterly direction.

It will last two days while pole testing works are undertaken by BT.

Alternative routes can be found in Old London Road, London Road, Maldon Road, Chelmsford Road, Oak Corner, Wycke Hill, Limebrook Roundabout, Wycke Hill Business Park, Limebrook Way, Fambridge Road, Spital Road, and High Street.

  • On January 24, there will be a closure of the length of Chelmsford Road, Purleigh from a point approximately 65m north west of its junction with Spar Lane for approximately 105m in a north westerly direction.

The one day will be for UK Power Networks to undertake new connection works.

Alternative routes can be found in Fambridge Road, Limebrook Way, Wycke Hill, Maldon Road, and Oak Corner.

  • On January 25, there will be a major closure at the length of Fullbridge/Market Hill, Maldon, from both junctions with Fullbridge Roundabout to the junction with Cromwell Lane approximately 290m.

The closure is in place for 19 days while new gas connection works are undertaken by Utility Distribution Networks Ltd.

Alternative routes can be found in High Street, Fambridge Road, Spital Road, Spital Road Roundabout, Maldon Bypass, Pond Roundabout, Heybridge Approach, and Fullbridge Roundabout.

  • On January 26, there is a closure at the length of Mayes Lane, Sandon, from a point approximately 60m northeast of its junction with Blind Lane for approximately 295m in a northerly then north-westerly direction.

The one-day closure is for pole replacement works by BT.

Alternative routes can be found in Woodhill Road, Woodhill Common Road, Sporhams Lane, Mayes Lane, and Butts Green Road.

  • On January 27, there will be a closure of the that length of Manor Road, Dengie, from both of its junctions with Hall Road for approximately 445m in a northerly direction.

The one-day closure is for pole replacement works by BT.

Alternative routes can be found in Hall Road and Tillingham Road.

Emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will have access at all times.
