A FURTHER 692 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the North-East and North Yorkshire.
The latest figures were published this afternoon and show another 12,155 people tested positive for the virus across the UK.
Another 215 people died within 28 days of a positive test.
A further 208 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in hospital in England, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths reported in hospitals to 40,405, NHS England said on Sunday.
Patients were aged between 39 and 100. All except 13, aged between 56 and 86, had known underlying health conditions.
The deaths were between October 25 and November 28.
Nine other deaths were reported with no positive Covid-19 test result.
There were 10 deaths at hospitals in the North-East and North Yorkshire, including two in County Durham and Darlington.

North Tyneside: 6,752 was 6,678– an increase of 74
North Yorkshire: 13,208 was 13,134– an increase of 74
Northumberland: 8,388 was 8,333– an increase of 55
Redcar and Cleveland: 4,509 was 4,482– an increase of 27
South Tyneside: 5,693 was 5,658– an increase of 35
Stockton: 7,524 was 7,487– an increase of 37
Sunderland: 10,966 was 10,918– an increase of 48
York: 5,632 was 5,612– an increase of 20
