A council have been working with police to after concerns over anti-social behaviour.

Maldon District Council have been working with Essex Police to tackle anti-social behaviour in parks and open spaces across the district.

In a statement on Facebook, Essex Police said: "During our patrols, we spoke to a number of young people and explained about the importance of keeping at least a two metre distance from others to help protect themselves, their family and their friends from COVID-19.

"We also reminded some of those we came in contact with that we are no longer allowed to meet in groups of more than six either indoors or outdoors following the implementation of the recent COVID laws to reduce the spread of the virus.

"We would like to thank everyone who continues to take steps to protect themselves and others. It means we can continue to respond to the things that are causing you concerns and take action against those who cause harm to our communities."
