A POPULAR milkshake producer has set its sights on the growing vegan market and has launched a brand new dairy-free sister brand.

Shaken Udder, which is based in Tiptree, is launching Shaken Other to target customers following a plant-based diet.

Andy Howie, co-founder of Shaken Udder said: “The inspiration for the name came from the challenge of udder being so strongly associated with milk that it didn’t fit. So Shaken Other was born.

“We wanted to reassure our loyal consumers of our commitment to flavour whilst also being clear this is a milk alternative.

“Other is a fun play on words to udder and the packaging has retained the recognisable premium look and feel.”

The new products are made using ethically-sourced coconut milk and are free from artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.

Mr Howie continued: “Using our years of milkshake experience and being obsessed with great taste, we’ve created this delicious range of plant-based alternative shakes.

“We believe dairy-free drinks shouldn’t compromise on taste or choice.

“Packed with real ingredients and a yummy coconut-milk base, our exciting range of dairy-free drinks deliver uncompromising taste for anyone who can’t drink dairy, chooses not to, or just fancies a change.”

The first flavours available include chocolate and strawberry, which come in 330ml bottles.

Shaken Other is hoping to launch more flavours as well as large product sizes in the near future.

Shaken Other is available from Tesco stores now.
