A CAT used up one of his nine lives when he got stuck between two garages.
Curiosity almost killed cat Louie after he ventured through a three inch gap in Dorsett Road, Maldon, and became wedged halfway through.
It is believed Louie had been stuck fast for about a day before Essex County Fire and Rescue Urban Search and Rescue was called to help.
The team worked carefully to remove bricks in one of the garages to safely rescue him by 1.16pm on Saturday. Louie was left in the care of the RSPCA who took him to the vet for check up.
Station Manager Scott Meekings from USAR, said: āIām really pleased we were able to rescue him unharmed. Neighbours believe the cat could have been trapped there for up to 24 hours.ā
