A BUSINESS owner has donated hundreds of face masks to care homes.

Linda Twinley, from Maldon, has given the masks to care homes in Maldon who desperately need them during the coronavirus pandemic.

Linda, who is a mother of four and grandmother to five, owns All About The Bag – a handmade bag business.

Linda purchased some colourful, fun fabric and made hundreds of face masks for care workers and residents, whilst also volunteering to make scrubs for the NHS.

Daughter Alys said: “She never requested any money or advertisement for her small business and spent many evenings at her sewing machine to ensure their safety.

“She has been a true, silent hero.

“The care workers got many pictures of them with the fun fabrics and even pictures of the residents with the fun ‘moustache’ fabric.

“I think the fabrics put a smile on a lot of faces.”

Linda now sells the face masks on her website and puts the money towards all the fabric costs that she enquired making the care home masks
