This will be held in Mundon Victory Hall on Sunday December 2 from noon until 3pm.

Father Christmas will definitely be coming although I don't think the reindeer are willing to risk the traffic this year. There will be many different stalls, jewellery, pictures various crafts and much more.

Refreshments will be available with the usual super WI cakes and this year bacon rolls instead of a ploughman's.

We hope that as many people as possible will be able to come and enjoy the show and help us make money for the SWANS.

EMILY'S SUCCESS

Emily's sponsorship in aid of Cancer Research UK is now nearing £1,000 - thanks to all concerned

PETER IN HOSPITAL

Peter Newton probably the most active Mundon resident for the good of the village has been taken to Broomfield hospital with a suspected gallstone. He is in ward nine. We wish him well.

PARISH PLAN

The Parish Plan Group AGM was held on Monday November 5.

The meeting was open to the whole village and ten people attended, with one apology.

It was a lively meeting with lots of questions about the process so far, including the questionnaire, and what happens next.

Approximately 30 per cent of the village completed their questionnaires at Easter. Stella Meesters from the Rural Community Council of Essex had informed a previous meeting that this was an average response and was considered quite acceptable, as it was equivalent to turnouts at General Elections.

The parish council had given a donation of £100 to get the process going and enable the questionnaire to be printed and circulated.

Two grants had been applied for, both from the RCCE. One had been granted for £1,950 and the acceptance form had been returned.

Also Maldon District Council's Civic Pride Project Board had offered a grant of £500 for a project that arises from the Parish Plan.

This must be identified before March 31, 2008.

Diana Madge announced that she is standing down from the Secretary's post due to other commitments.

There were no volunteers from those attending the meeting, but the nomination of a person not present was received. We are currently awaiting their decision.

The next step in the process is to have the completed questionnaires analysed by an independent company.

The full report can then be put together, printed and distributed.

If anyone who did not complete their questionnaire would like to do so now - please contact the chairman, Tony Foster, of Jaysur New Hall Lane, on 743483 as soon as possible.

If anyone would like to volunteer their time for the secretary's post, please also contact Tony. If no-one is willing to do this, the plan will not proceed any further.
