TWO people were taken to hospital after a fire on a boat.
The blaze started on a lightship off Woodrolfe Road, Tollesbury, just after 3pm on Friday.
The boat was half a mile from the shore making it difficult for crews to access.
However, with help from the urban search and rescue team, they managed to relay a water supply to the area.
Two people were treated for smoke inhalation.
Firefighters left them with an air ambulance crew.
The fire was out within 90 minutes and has been recorded as accidental.
