The Standard has searched through AirBnB to find some of the best homes on offer in the Maldon District.

There are homes perfect for a couples getaway or bigger houses to gather friends and still maintain social distancing.

From yurts to a pink palace, all of the properties are close to home but far enough to take a well earned break.

Many people probably don't know that the red house on Market Hill, Maldon is on AirBnB.

If you want to be in the centre of the town but fancy a change of scenery this is perfect for you.

Hosts also leave you samples of Tiptree famous preserves to enjoy with your breakfast.

If you want something with a bit more space, this is perfect.

This eleven bedroom farmhouse is complete with a sauna, garden and paddock and the hosts even encourage music and dancing.

This unusal looking house has a fantastic view out to the Blackwater to watch boats sailing past Maldon on their way to the sea.

The Tower, Latchingdon

Another unusual looking house built in 1934 which recently won Maldon's Building Conservation Award.

A large balcony creates stunning views across the River Crouch to Southend and the North Downs.

Eaton House, Tiptree

Last but not least, we couldn't create this list without adding the famous Eaton House in Tiptree.
