Police were in Weymouth this morning following a disturbance
Armed police arrested a man in Weymouth who was found in possession of a number of knives at a home in Weymouth.
Dorset Police were called at 9.39am today to a report of a disturbance at an address on Shirecroft Road in Weymouth.
It was reported that a man was in possession of knives inside the property.
Officers attended and following enquiries a 37-year old man was arrested on suspicion of affray and is assisting officers with their enquiries.
A Dorset Police spokesman confirmed that the officers attending included armed officers.
