Former students have come together to reunite their school choir whilst in lockdown.

Former members of the Plume Academy School Choir have reunited to record some songs and put a smile on people face whilst they stay at home.

Organised by Jeremy Phillips, the choir reunited 34 members from 1999-2010 from as far afield as New Zealand and Australia.

Jeremy said: "It was just a spur of the moment type idea really, having seen a few other virtual choir videos online.

"It got me thinking, could I get a number of ex-student choir members from Plume School to come together, send in a recording and put the whole thing together.

"Turns out the answer was yes!

"I set up a Facebook group to reach out to as many old choir members as I could to see if they were up for the idea.

"I recorded some guide tracks and then 34 people sent me a recording of them singing their part which I edited together to the final video you can see.

"The video includes students who were members of the choir ranging from 1999-2010 and are now as far flung across the globe as New Zealand and Australia.

"The reaction to the video has been overwhelming and I’m so taken aback by how popular it has been. We’ve already had requests to do further pieces, so watch this space!"
