A further three patients in mid Essex have died after contracting Covid-19, latest figures have shown.
The data, from NHS England, brings the death toll at in the region to 171.
All three newly recorded deaths occurred at Broomfield Hospital, which has now had 162 fatalities linked to Covid-19.
No new deaths have been announced at Braintree Community Hospital, meaning its total remains at six.
Across the trusts which serve Essex a further 12 people have died.
Three people have lost their lives at Southend Hospital and four people have died at the East Suffolk and North Essex trust.
Another two deaths were also recorded at the Basildon and Thurrock Trust.
A further 332 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 22,764.
Patients were aged between six weeks and 103 years old. 22 of the 332 patients (aged between 40 and 96 years old) had no known underlying health condition.
Their families have been informed.
