The Service of Choral Evensong held in Purleigh church on the third Sunday monthly will commence at 4pm during the winter months. The next service is on Sunday November 18.
YELLOW PAGES
The headteacher of Purleigh Primary School, Dawn Dack, is delighted to have received 400 covers from Yellow Pages and thanks everyone who supported the children in recycling the old books.
OLD ESSEX BARNS
There will be an illustrated talk on old Essex Barns by Ann Padfield at 7.30pm on Saturday November 17, followed by a supper with wine.
The talk will take place in one of the old barns at Grange Farm, Steeple.
A donation for the talk and supper of £10 would be appreciated - the event is to raise funds for the Church Repair Fund and if you can come could you please ring Barbara on 772313 or Peter on 773189 so that numbers can be assessed for catering.
