IDENTICAL brothers born with a rare condition are starring in one of Sky’s most successful dramas as they carve out their careers in film and television.

Kuzey, Koray and Ayaz Cerikci, aged five, from Danbury, are naturally conceived triplets who are making their way on social media as ‘The Piplets’.

Kuzey and Koray were monochorionic monoamniotic twins, or ‘mono-mono’, meaning they shared one amniotic sac and placenta, a condition affecting just one per cent of all twins.

Now the brothers are appearing in Sky One’s Save Me Too, alongside show creator and Line of Duty rogue cop actor Lennie James.

The youngsters had previously shared the role in Sky’s first instalment – Save Me – and appeared in major TV shows such as the BBC’s Silent Witness, when they were just five months old.

Mum of six Claire said: “They have done a few bits and pieces before.

“It started off when they were five months when they were in Silent Witness on the BBC.

“Then they were two years old when they did the first Save Me and then last year they filmed the second series.

“They also played Young King James in Mary Queen of Scotts in 2017 with Margot Robbie and Saoirse Ronan.

“I think this time around was the first time that they have filmed and understood it - before they were just babies.

“But this time they are independent and they understood more.

“The first scene they filmed there were lots of children and school kids and they got a bit overwhelmed so I took them to the side and had a little chat.

“They play the same character and take turns so Kuzey said he would do the first scene.

“He actually decided to do the first couple of scenes.

“By the end of it they were fighting over who would do it.”
