SOUTHAMPTON residents were shaken in their beds after a police chase which left four cars damaged.
A Ford Focus ploughed into three parked cars in Archers Road, Southampton after the driver failed to stop for police on Ringwood Road, Totton last night.
One Archer's Road resident who wishes to remain unnamed described the sound of the crash as like a bomb going off and being shocked.
She reports ten police cars were on the scene as well as a fire engine following the incident which happened shortly after 9pm.
The driver, a man in his 40s of no fixed address, was arrested on suspicion of driving without insurance, driving whilst disqualified, failing to stop and dangerous driving.
No one was injured and the man remains in custody at this time.
The Daily Echo has contacted Hampshire Fire and Rescue Services for comment.
