STAFF at Furness General Hospital have been praised by a patient who suffered a broken ankle.
The Twitter user had been forced to visit A&E on Friday after sustaining the injury.
He took the opportunity to thank the hospital’s ‘lovely’ NHS workers.
He wrote: “I spent the day ‘self isolating’ at A&E in Barrow-in-Furness.
“There’s been so much hype in the local media regards a 'crisis' over #COVID19 at the hospital.
“I’ve never seen it so quiet and all the staff were just lovely.”
