FIVE flood warnings are still in place following heavy rainfall and strong winds caused by Storm Dennis over the weekend.
The Environment Agency alerted that flooding is expected for the River Thames and River Ray in Oxfordshire, with areas affected being extended from Shifford to Kidlington.

The five warnings where immediate action is required:
- River Ray for Islip
- River Thames at Purley Village
- River Thames between Newbridge and Kings Lock above Oxford
- River Thames for Henley, Remenham, and Medmenham
- River Thames for Shiplake, Lower Shiplake and Wargrave
There are also 28 flood alerts in place, with the number decreasing by six as of yesterday.
Altough Storm Dennis has passed persistent rainfall over the week has kept rivers overflowing.
Access to several highways has also been restricted while river levels go down.
Closed roads include B4016 Blewbury Road, Didcot, Grove Road, Harwell, B4445, Chinnor, East Hanney to Denchworth - Botany Bridge, and Woodeaton Road.
