A lifeboat crew were tasked by Essex Police to help find a missing person amid storm Ciara over the weekend.
Burnham RNLI were on exercise on Sunday morning, February 9, training in the storm in preparation for when real shouts occur in rough weather.
Essex Police requested assistance to help locate a woman who was missing in the area.
An RNLI spokesman said: “Both the Atlantic class and D class lifeboats were diverted from the training exercise to assist in the search for the missing person who was eventually found safe and well by the police.
“A great team effort by all involved.”
Essex Police confirmed a woman was reported missing, but no one was harmed.
She was found by police officers later that day.
